How we handle the information you share with us, and the little we collect automatically.

Mwangaza Jesuit Spirituality Centre (“Mwangaza”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep the site deliberately simple and privacy-friendly.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter — your name, email address, subject and message — so that we can respond to your enquiry or booking request. These details are sent to our office inbox and are used only for that purpose.

When you join our mailing list

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you retreat and programme updates. Joining is entirely voluntary, and you can ask to be removed at any time by emailing us.

Information collected automatically

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — for example which pages are most visited. This service is cookieless and privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own, and our analytics are cookieless. The one exception is that some pages embed Google Maps to help you find us; when a map loads, Google may set its own cookies, governed by Google’s privacy policy. If you prefer to avoid these, you can simply not interact with the embedded maps.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and booking requests.
  • To send you the retreat and programme updates you have asked to receive.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how our website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We only share information with the service providers that help us run the site and our ministry:

  • Our web host, which stores and serves the website.
  • Our email provider, through which contact-form messages reach us.
  • Cloudflare, for the cookieless, aggregate analytics described above.
  • Google Maps, only when you view an embedded map.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and mailing-list information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given — to answer you, to serve you during a programme, or to keep you updated while you wish to be. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Security

The website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. While no method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.

Your rights

In line with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, to ask us to delete it, and to object to or withdraw your consent to our use of it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.

Children

This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
